This beautiful shaved design is created by using a hand-carving technique called Shinogi. It's easy to hold and the simple yet traditional design is perfect for any occasion from restaurants to family gatherings. These items use a technique called Kannyu to intentionally add cracked textures. Simmer in hot rice water and soak them in cold water before using them to prevent oils or other liquids from soaking in. There may be some imperfections such as scratches, dents, black dots and color/shape/weight differences. The shape may be slightly warped or unbalanced.
